They are also quite small and disappear almost completely behind the speaker. Use the Stud Thirty for speakers that will be mounted above ear level. The Stud Thirty installs in minutes and allows you to thread your speaker wire through custom laser-cut holes for the cleanest looking installation. Available in Black or White. Includes hardware for mounting on most walls. Compatible with Mod1 and Mod2 speakers. Whether you are using Mod1 or Mod2 speakers, each speaker requires only one of these affordable mounts (i.e. you buy only one mount for each Mod2 speaker). The Stud Thirty is not adjustable, since it is designed to fit an exact purpose (point the speaker down to the listening area) and to disappear behind the speaker. We designed this mount for people with basic needs who previously had to turn to large, ugly third party mounts that cost $60-$100 per pair or more. For those with different needs, the Stud Zero wall mount is available to mount your speakers straight off your wall, at no angle. The general rule is that your front speakers will sound best if you place them as close to ear level as possible, however there is definitely quite a bit of flexibility because the Orbs have a very wide sweet spot. You do not have to be afraid to mount the Orbs on the wall or ceiling if this is the best design option for you. Up to 6 feet - Use our Stud Zero or BOSS Wall Mounts Above 6 feet - Use our MultiMounts, BOSS Wall Mounts or Stud Thirty Ceiling - Use our MultiMounts We encounter some common questions when it comes to wall mounts and placement of speakers: Can I put speakers in the 4 corners of the room? Yes, you can. This will still sound good. Use our MultiMounts for adjustability. Most speakers will lose a little breadth of soundstage when placed up high in the corners, but the Orbs actually sound quite good because they have a very big sweet spot. Try to mount them at ear level as a first choice, but if not, don't sweat it. Do the Orbs work with other wall mounts? Yes, they do. The Mod1 and Mod2 have a 1/4" threaded insert that is one of the standards in the industry. Certain mounts from OmniMount, Panavise and Btech (and many other manufacturers) fit our speakers as well.
