Fantastic customer service. Fantastic speakers and sound. I am psyched that these are Made in the USA, are modular/expandable, and from a great company. Not much more that one could ask for.

YES - Great Buy for Years to Come. I was introduced to Orb Audio back in 2009 and have been a big fan every since. Remarkable sound clear and clean. When people hear them they are amazed at the sound from such a small speaker. My friend immediately when out and purchased his system after hearing mine. Coupled with a Denon receiver,it brings forth a concert each time you play your music. The guys at Orb Audio are great to work with, sometimes it may be hard to reach them only because they are talking with another customer. With such knowledgeable audio guys its hard to get off the phone. I believe the term is "Bang for your Buck" Well worth the investment, quality sound and quality service.

Best sub/sat system I know of. I have owned these speakers for about 8 years now. They are great. I have this same system, but with two orbs for every speaker, including the surrounds. I use white for the fronts and rears and they blend in well with the ceiling where I have them mounted. I upgraded to the copper finish for my center channel, which looks great sitting inside by entertainment center. The speakers sound much bigger than they look. My friend has a comparably priced Bose system and these sound noticeably better. The 8" woofer performs much better than you would expect, but serious bass heads may want to consider opting not to get the sub and spend more money on a bigger, more powerful sub (think SVS, Hsu Research, etc.). But I was literally blow away by how much bass came from this 8" driver and was never disappointed. You can check out a review of this system here - http://www.soundandvision.com/content/orb-audio-peoplersquos-choice-speaker-system.

I've had my Orbs for about 4 years now, and just found out that they started selling on Amazon which I think is awesome. Everyone should have some Orbs. Probably like most guys, I've always enjoyed my large speaker systems, but once I got married and remodeled the house, there was, "no way those ugly towers are going back in my living room!" I found Orb on the web doing my research on compact speaker systems. They compared themselves to many of the high end, much more expensive brands (not that Orbs are cheap or anything). I was skeptical, but I like value and Orb had a 30-day guarantee, so why not try them? Their customer service was great from the beginning. I called to order my system, because I wanted to speak with someone familiar with the equipment rather than just guessing on their website. I have a pretty large living room, ~35' x 25' with 10' ceilings, and I didn't want to compromise from the "large" sound of towers. I was really afraid of losing the mid range with only small speakers and a subwoofer. Orb recommended that I go with 4 Orbs per front channel and 2 Orbs per rear channel (16 speakers total) - 4L, 4C, 4R, 2RR, 2RL. In addition, I actually got 2 subwoofers, an 8" and a 10". Their subwoofers have a nice feature that allows high-level inputs (speaker wire) and filters that input an onboard crossover to send the signal back out to the speakers. What this allows is for me to leave the A/V receiver set for "large" speakers in the front and allowing the entire frequency range to be spit out. The 8" subwoofer in the front near my entertainment center then receives the high level input, breaks it up into lows and highs, sends the highs to the small Orbs and keeps the lows for itself. Then, my subwoofer output is saved for the 10" subwoofer placed in the back of the room. So although I don't have towers anymore, my 8" Orb subwoofer is allowed to play the low frequencies sent to the front speakers to assist them in producing the full range of sound. I turn the cross over frequency as high as possible (180 Hz) so that the 8" assists as much as possible and gets as much of the mid-range as possible. The result is great. Deep male voices resonate and sound correct during movies and narrations. This allows me to set the cross over frequency on the 10" subwoofer low, so that it's power is reserved for when I need the real bass punches. And the best? You can barely see them. Because I purchased a custom system, I was able to mix and match my colors. Whites for my lefts, rights and surrounds. Their mounted on the ceiling right next to my white crown molding and blend right in. My centers are black to match my entertainment center and just blend right in with my other electronics. When I have new guests over and music is playing, it's fun to watch their heads look up and start trying to figure out where the sound is coming from. I always receive compliments on the sound. The last thing I'll say is the clarity is precise. These speakers can do loud, but they sure sound perfect at low levels too which has come in handy the last couple of years with a new child. For late night TV watching with children sleeping in the house, these speakers reproduce audio so well that you're not forced to turn the volume up just to understand someone's speech. These allow me to keep the volume low, low, low, but conversations are still audible and crystal clear. If you need to move on to compact speakers like I did, you won't regret going with Orb.

I recently wrote a review on Orbs 5.1 system and loved it. Decided to up grade to this configuration a nice feature of the Orbs. Was it worth it? Yes and maybe. Liked the increase in efficiency resulting in higher volume levels at lower power setting. Sounded about the same overall in my 20/30+' room. Would I do it again? Probably, because I love the look and the higher efficiency. Noticed in some reviews the revierers felt the speakers sometimes sounded a little tinny. Room acoustics can be a significant factor but I power these speakers with a Marantz 1403 5.1 AV Amp with "room equalization" and feel that is a real plus with small speakers like these. Nothing remotely tinny sounding with my set up just the opposite the sound is rich and dynamic. Get ya' some you will love them especialy if you power them with a Marantz 1403 like mine. I got the Marsntz factory Referb unit and it looks and works like new with a one year factory warrenty and have no regrets.

I have had this setup since summer of 2006, and have used them practically everyday for hours per day. I could not be happier. Like my headline says they are stylish, both the speakers and the stands that support the Orbs. As for the sound, I think they perform great. This will not serve as an audiophile system as i believe the product description indicates, so do not be fooled...but i have a discerning ear(althouh not an audiophile) and these things flat out rock! I mostly view DVD Blue Ray concerts of classic rock(moody Blues, Yes, Clapton, Grateful Dead, the Band, Dylan, and the excellent new Celebration Day Led Zeppelin) and this sytem never disappoints. I have the system in Family room open to kitchen and breakfast nook, and i have never needed to overtax these speakers to get sound to shake house, and no distortion issues. Some other reviews have said they can sound a little tinny, and given their size and such, yes that can be the case, but with proper amplification and spacing (my main sitting position is 10 feet, it sounds great from kithchen too) the sound and aesthetics are a winning combination...and a sub woofer is a must with any Orb setup IMO.
